For the past few years, I haven't composed anything, instead focusing exclusively on improvisation. Now I am able to play for 7+ minutes without breaking the flow.

My first album: "Shapers Shine in The Sky" will be build only from improvisations.

White keys style:

I've come up with a set of exercises and a way of playing that utilizes many different senses to instinctively respond to the dominant melody (for me it's mostly the upper voice, but I try to turn up the interest sometimes by directing my attention to the lower registers).

The melody can be something you improvise on the fly with sound visualization or a selection of short phrases you remember (that will come mostly from fragments of your previous improvisations). However, these phrases are modal - I suggest playing with your eyes closed to leave more room for visualizing shapes. It's most important part and come together with feeling about relationships between movements (clicked keys go up or down, direction and intensity).

Core of technique is based on attention itself. Human attention is like nested graph of trees. However, consciously we can focus on one tree in a moment. But first step is to see whole as hierarchy, not one.

It's meditative. Very fun thing to do.
