The sound engineering on this live performance was exceptional and the interpretation lively and intriguing. That's not an easy feat for any orchestra. This ensemble always seems a couple steps ahead of the listener - or it's simply Beethoven having a ball with the form. The music comes off as far more free-wheeling than most of his others in the cycle. Fun listen!
