I was going to start a thread for the World Series, BUT, how can we not talk about this Ohtanic game! Three homers (with one going over the roof at Dodgers Stadium!), 6 shutout innings, 10 strikeouts... This has to be the greatest individual performance in the history of the game!

WaPo started an article this morning thusly: "This is Beethoven at a piano. This is Shakespeare with a quill. This is Michael Jordan in the Finals. This is Tiger Woods in Sunday red."

Not a fan of L.A. or Ohtani; Aaron Judge is my guy.  Since the Yankees were eliminated, I am hoping Seattle beats L.A. But I would even root for Toronto against the Dodgers.

Last year I watched Ohtani's 50/50 game live as well...the one where he went 6-for-6 with three home runs, a double, and two steals. Crazy that he has two different games that could either of them be considered the greatest game ever!

I will be rooting for Seattle to get its first ever title, or Toronto to get its first since I was a toddler, but we are very fortunate to get to watch Ohtani play.

I don't watch sports, though I will watch noteworthy highlights.  Ohtani's approach of pitching a shutout first inning followed by a lead-off homerun is a sound strategy.  Everyone ought to adopt it.

I saw a nice comment elsewhere that Ohtani provided great run support for Ohtani.  The young man shows promise.
