As you probably know, Giorgia Meloni is currently the president of the council.

What I want to discuss here is the nomination of Beatrice Venezi as a music director of "Teatro La Fenice" in Venice, one of the most important opera houses of the world.

The musicians of the theatre are protesting against this. They think that she doesn't have the skills for a big role like this and that she was nominated only because she an admirer of Giorgia Meloni.

I only want to discuss about her musical merits.

What do you think? Does she really deserve this role, or do you agree with people who think that she was placed there only because she has the right friends?

Meloni is currently italian Prime Minister.Beatrice Venezi IMHO should be evaluated on her technical skills and not on her political orientation.Appointments to management positions in musical institutions have always been decided by politics, I remember Berio's direction at Santa Cecilia
