These are not so unfamiliar as I thought, but still require more effort from me than I've previously given.

LOL, I was not prepared for a Gershwin-style jazz arrangement of Isolde's Liebestod.

An immensely enjoyable recording in all respects, certainly.
The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied. The terror IS REAL more than ever!

Schnittke: Concerto for Choir
Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Kaspars Putniņš

I must have been ready to hear this, it completely drew me in and closed the door behind me. Exceedingly beautiful and haunting music, and one can only marvel at choral singing of this excellence.

I think what I like most about this recording is the CPO sonic picture compared to that of Chandos in Enescu's main three symphonies I heard recently. These have bite and clarity, which eluded Rozhdestvensky and the Chandos engineers in their set.

This box sticks to its name and omits the Arte dell Arco recordings that are not concertos and not featuring the violin (so the two oboe concertos in Il Cimento are not included).
