Hi Feanor, and welcome.  Nice list of favorite composers there!  And if you don't like a few others, well, so what!   

I like those Birtwistle works.  I heard Theseus Game live here in New York a few years back with if I recall, the Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble.  Fascinating piece.  And I have two recordings of Earth Dances (but not this newer one) and think it's one of Birtwistle's best.
