Agreed.  However, in reality (as opposed to television) I've never witnessed someone order a "soda", not caring what kind is received.  Also, in the realm of alcoholic beverages, if some orders a scotch and soda, the "soda" is generally club soda (unflavored/unsweetened carbonated water).

Fair point - unfortunately I am an dirty addict, and unhappy with missing more than two days of precious TV,* I paid for next day delivery - it's already been dispatched (£7 for next day for a TV is IMO really nice value)

*To be honest, it was more to do with being able to play music DVDs, but it sounds funnier if I implied I would die if I missed too many Eastenders episodes or something.

My boy cat always comes home with scratches on his face... but that is the least of my worries, as he is completely oblivious, and doesn't get out of the way of reversing cars etc.
