Will you be able go get down into the good ol' USA?.
If so, dinner and hotel room is on me. Love to see you again, and meet your better half.

I won't be able to go to the US. Maybe next time. Vanessa is not coming with me. We just got the good news yesterday that she's pregnant! The whole family is so excited!

Superduper Congratulations Paul. To both you and Vanessa, and the rest of your family.
I was beginning to think you didn't know how to do "it". Glad I was wrong.
Make sure you play lots of Wagner and Beethoven near her while she's pregnant. You DO want your child to be a music lover.
Anyway, have a safe trip, and once again CONGRATULATIONS!

Have fun in HK! Is it your first time going there? Need I recommend you some fun places?
My first time in HK. But I will only have one day and a half there, just enough to do some shopping on behalf of Vanessa, and going to a local pub for Arsenal vs. ManUre!

Be sure to go to the beautiful Victoria Harbour at night, 8:00PM! The largest lazer light display in the world will be held every night at that time. It makes world's top skyline all the more prettier :)

Thanks to everyone for your wonderful recommendations. I visited, among other places, Second Vinyl in Toronto, HMV in Vancouver, and 5 different bookstores in Toronto as well.

I have posted my CD purchases in the recent pruchases thread. I also bought many books. A great trip overall. But I am so happy to be back home where Vanessa told me she saw the baby's beating heart via ultrasound yesterday!

Wonderful news, Paul, and thank you for letting us in on it. - I am talking about the heartbeats, even though you might classify your purchases as wonderful also!  ::)

I sent this to Paul Yin via e-mail, as I was having trouble openiong GMG for the last hour, but for those of you in Asia, The "Mountain is coming to Mohammed"

Thanks for the wonderful recommendations!

I think I will likely do most if not all my book and CD shopping in Toronto, although I will see if I have time to stop by Sikora in Vancouver. I will save some money for shopping in HK on my way back! (I will also need to find a pub in HK as well for the Arsenal ManUre match that night as well!)

I did place a few orders online, most of which should be ready for pick up at a friend's place in Winnipeg upon my arrival. I ordered mainly things that I would not expect most stores to carry.

Springrite, I hope you enjoyed your stop in Winnipeg.  I live in Winnipeg.  :)

Oh, yes, I really liked Winnipeg. It is a wonderful city and I like the people there. It is also the city where I know many people. I hope to go there again, and next time add a bombers and a moose game to my schedule.

And hopefully you could also attend a live Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra concert at the Centennial Concert Hall   :)
