"...every woman looks for a man who's sorted and got ahead in the world, with the money to look after her, and it's important she takes some regardless how well you know her- especially if you're from a developed economy. She's unlikely to count it or even look at it, or not take it graciously though: the affluent man is also more attractive- wear a good shirt, trousers, shoes and expensive watch, and book into a comfortable mid-range hotel; a good physique will add a lot to your credentials."

This sounds slightly materialistic.

I offer earnest assurance I have no interest at all in 'prostitutes'- they are totally, completely boring and unfulfiling, needless to say.

Who said anything about "prostitutes"?  We are all thoroughly aware of the fact that most 13-year-olds have not yet made the career decision as to whether to become a "prostitute" .......

Therefore, the concept of a "prostitute" is largely inapplicable here ........

right, 13 year olds should not be pressured into making career decisions.

Wow. I feel the need to cleanse myself after reading that.  :P

Hey man, you asked for this.

It is pretty f**ked up, though. No wonder he's off to do some head sorting ... which I hope is what I think it is, not what I hope it isn't. :D

It's been a good 15 years or so since I read it, but gee, Sean's 'travelogue' reminds me of American Psycho :P.

Have you read Henry Miller's work? Much more relevant, in my opinion. :)

(American Psycho is - to use the "word of the thread" - made distinct by its constantly-underlying sense of humour: it doesn't miss a beat, while Miller does meander, and reads very much like Sean's "memoire" might, were the latter to fall under the term "literature". ;))

P.S. And I very, very much agree with Don, above, for all my tendency not to get involved in all these "epic" discussions(?) about Sean, 71db, etc.

Hmm, good point :). I was thinking on the lines of postmodern delusion >:D.

as far as I'm concerned having 100 + count means that you're either a whore, or a rockstar.  It's not really normal for people to have that high of a count.

And let me clarify: I'm asking for a number of distinct people you've had sex with.

Are you not simply judging people, what with such lame clichés?  $:)

And why should you be asking for such a count? There are 7 billion people on this planet, at least 4 billion of age and still physically active. What are the odds that they should all conform to your view of what's "normal"? If 1% is not "normal", you're talking of 40 million prurient individuals :o.

well, how many retarded people are there in the world? are they "normal?"

either way, 100+ means most likely you've also slept with a lot of ugly people. That itself is pretty messed up, means you have no standards at all. What was my count again?... 967?.....
