Nagano and the Montreal Symphony will play Saint François next season. I'm not sure I'm interested. I've attended three Messiaen concerts so far and although I was not bored, I haven't had an epiphany either. The MSO and its conductor have the idiom down pat, so the right conditions should be in place. I don't know the singers announced. OTOH Pro Musica will feature a concert in which his Quartet for the end of Time will be played. That's something I might go for!
