XB-70 Valkyrie

Kitchy and schmarmy as hell, but I enjoy it (on occasion)!

This is actually the original LP cover, but the reissued CD (now, apparently out of print) is very similar)

For those of you who don't know, Ray Conniff was an American composer / arranger who worked with people like Mitch Miller, Johnny Mathis, Rosemary Clooney, et al. He was awarded a Grammy in 1966.

The Ray Conniff Singers were founded in 1959 and consisted of 12 women and 13 men and all of these songs consist of the singers going "la ta da ba da da bop" and such, but never singing the actual words. If you listen to more than 30 minutes of this at a time you WILL lose your mind!

And you actually bought this?

It'd be hard to top that. I guess it depends on how you define corny.
