Everyone has their favorites...

Some people like to talk about their "Favorite composers".
Some folks dwindle in amusement bragging about their "favorite foods".
Some take delight in mumping about their "favorite vacation adventures"
Some even twinkle in excitement while discussing their "favorite symphonies"...

But then, what is Your favorite Endeavour?

My favourite is to talk about my favourite thread: a "your favourite favourite" thread.

Mozart

Well, can't I jumble it all into one? I like eating a nice pizza from a local place here while watching an opera with naked girls wrestling in chocolate pudding in it and sharing it with friends and maybe wine.

What is the name of this opera please? It sounds very much like Wagner somehow, though I understand Monteverdi was very much into Sploshing with choc. pudding.

Easy one - it's my greatest personal achievement. Getting over my acute fear of heights, through acclimatisation, which has enabled me to go on routes that I once never dared. I cannot stress how important this has been to me - it opened up my life to exposure and excitement, the like of which I had never previously experienced or thought possible.

I agree, Saul, that's a terrific personal victory, quite inspiring.

Several things are on my "favorites" list
     1. Hitting a big jackpot at the slot machine ($5,000 or more)
     2. A 75o day in May, with no clouds and low humidity
     3. Gasoline prices of 19 cents a gallon
     4. Recalling what it was like to be 22 yrs old
     5. Losses for ALL NY sports teams except the NY Mets. Want them to be undefeated for the entire season.
     6. The hoped for disappearance of so many of the "self-aggrandizing" a**holes on this forum.
     7. Meeting all the great conductors and other musicians that I met while working at Tanglewood.
     8. Being a "spoiled brat" (Fortunately, I had unbelievably loving parents and grandparents- whom I loved in return).
     9. Being physically, healthy (A long time ago).
    10. Having great. good friends
"Good", is NOT good enough, when "better" is expected
