I am still rather skeptical about both the historical recordings (especially their earlier stuff like those "Maestro misterioso" boxes) as well as some that had originally appeared on Vox, Intercord and other smallish labels (usually LP era recordings) but it is true that the seem to have some joint venture/licensing agreement with more recent recordings both from e.g. NCA and Ars musici. Those usually bear the name of the original label in some small print and/or are credited otherwise on the (back)covers.

On Amazon.ca the set sells for 18.49$. JPC has it for 6€, or 9$Can. That's certainly better. And, much as I like Monteverdi's madrigals, it wouldn't dawn on me that I can't live without the whole shebang. So this sensible selection at an unbeatable price is certainly enticing !

I can live with that anyway.

Here however, companies are normally obliged to deliver items for a publicly announced price.

Same here. I've had orders not being fulfilled before in cases like this......including Amazon proper.

Last time I remember was a cancellation on the grounds of "unavailability".

After a week the item was miraculously available again....at the regular price...

Yeah, it's been a while, although a lot of people did order it, so I can see how it might take a while. But I'm fine with not getting it, too.

Me too. The site says expected by 16 May, which I assume means Amazon expects it to arrive there on 16 May and get shipped later. We will see.

Like others I won't be heartbroken not to get it, but for $16 I'd kinda like to have it.

A year or more ago Amazon had a large number of high end canned cat food as a Prime add-on at a really low price, with "ships in 2 months" So I bought a huge amount. And over the past 14 or so months it has arrived in dribs and drabs, often after notices of delay. But I still got most of it. Some was cancelled, and I still have 120 cans on order, just delayed again. But that represents a savings of over $100 right there.
