Re. that Schubert box, the book is gorgeous as well.

I bought the Hyperion Schubert Lieder series individually, at probably over three times that cost.  I also bought 7 or so of the Schumann set, and they've finsihed at 11, so I guess I'll get those remaining ones and compete that set - at full price as well.

It's people like you who keep labels like Hyperion alive, so you should be getting some über warm tingly feelings.

I'll let you know if I come accross it, but I doubt it will be a super-duper cheap bargain...

Many thanks for the "Heads up" on this Brahms set.  Brahms is a composer, bar his big works and chamber music, well he is a composer whom I have very little music.  60cds for 20 Euro's is amazing.  I ordered it on Friday morning and it came from France today (Monday morning) to the UK.  First class service.

I also ordered the DG box set for £18, not sure if this one will surface.

Anyone got this at the bargain price...do keep us informed.

Yes, my DG Brahms said 1 left when I ordered it.  Usually I get a confirmation of order pinged back on the email or sorry and here's a refund, but none so far which I hope means the set is on the way.

Did you buy one of the Brill Box sets too?  It looks a good buy for those of us, namely myself who are a little shy on Brahms' music, even if I have 30 versions or so of the violin concerto and umpteen symphonic and piano concerto cycles    So much new music to discover.

didn't go for the Brilliant boxset, no... 0:)

I only have one set of symphonies, 1 VC, 2 requiems and the piano ballades....so the DG set would be a welcome addition for me to discover more as well !  

hopefully it is a case of a reseller not necessarily informing of despatches.....
