It has been that way for well over a year now.  It really is a steal, and if you really like Brahms' music and want the whole enchilada, then this is one way to go.  The set isn't perfect and has its flaws, but overall it is more than worth the price, even if you enjoyed only 10 discs!

I already have the complete a capella choral music from the same label and it's outstanding, so looking forward to the rest of the set.

I really love the a capella choir music also.  Absolutely gorgeous it is!  The chamber music recordings are also high quality.

Indeed, surprisingly so. Piano Quintet + Nash Ensemble = great CD!

This seems a bit random, but I got a new copy of this for 35 cents.   ???

Ray,  Did you end up paying some pretty steep shipping charge for the BC Brahms set?  The price on the set is indeed very good ...

I ordered it fully a year ago. The price I got was 20 euros, came out to US $37 with shipping. That's a $10 shipping charge, but $37 for 60 CDs is still an insane deal. This one is probably more like $45ish.

I placed an order with them recently (the complete Liszt set) and shipping was about 9 Euros, as I recall.  Not cheap, but not totally absurd for shipping across the Atlantic and well worth it considering some of the deals available there.

I got the Russian Legends deal I mentioned earlier from Abeille/FabulousCD via Amazon:

OK, I bit!  (First CD purchase of 2011--it'll be interesting to see if they send the advertised set!)

Yes, what was the price?  I had some interest in that set recently but it was recently OOP and used copies seemed to be stratospheric.

Deep Discount (US) is having a 50% off selected items sale, which is about 1000 classical discs/sets and such. There are a few weird things like insanely high starting prices for some items, and a couple mis-matches between description and item. But there are also some pretty good deals to be had, especially on EMI (though Eloquence, Apex, and others appear). They had a number of Mahler sets (Bertini ($38?), EMI Mahler set (less than $30), etc), Haitink Ring (under $50), Elgar and Vaughan Williams Collector's Edition ($31-33), Britten CE (~$60ish), the Icon series, EMI operas, Haitink Vaughn Williams Symphonies (under $25), etc. They have a lot of crap to wade through as well, so patience is a virtue. Link is: http://www.deepdiscount.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.browse/_/Spring-Sale-Classical-CDs/categoryID/da789b9f-bd5f-4a62-8f56-24556b5fca6a/

They have free shipping in the US over $15 (I think that was the limit). Don't know what they charge to Europe.
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

Not bad. Also Jansons' complete Shosty for $35, Karajan's EMI Beethoven for $15, Klemp/Boimz Beethoven Syms and Concs for $30...

Worth poking around in.  BTW, if you do a generic search it will return the sale items with a "Spring cleaning sale" banner to mark them, so you can search for things you are particularly interested in.  (You don't have to go through the entire list.)
