:D  Trouble looms, Navneeth, we'll make room in the boat for you. :)

Um...no, thanks. At least not until a vaccine is identified for CDCDCD.

Why not?  This is progress!

Stewart, my wallet doesn't agree with you.

How about a new website Amazon.co.in?

Maybe, if they have a good stock. There are a couple of online bookstores that carry western classical music CDs also, but it's the same old fare of limited labels with limited repertoire and a ridiculous pricing policy especially with boxes. However, there is one site that looks so much like Amazon, that it makes me think if they were not owned by them (Amazon) or something, they would have faced a lawsuit. (http://www.infibeam.com)

Wow, the resemblance is hilarious! Actually, since Amazon's recent redesign, I think infibeam is prettier.

Naxos at 25% off at Europadisc but just for this weekend.

They are also offering (some of?) the 10 disc box sets of Harmonia Mundi Gold at £18-95.

This really looks like an Amazon Indian subsidiary or at least an affiliate.  LOL

Look... me and the McDonald's people got this little misunderstanding. See, they're McDonald's... I'm McDowell's. They got the Golden Arches, mine is the Golden Arcs. They got the Big Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds. My buns have no seeds.

Do you recognize this quote?  :)

You're too young for these movies from the eighties.  :)

I'm not really into films anyway.

Kind of ironic considering what happened between Buchwald and Paramount. :)

Will someone please buy the Delius violin sonatas disc from Amazon UK? (Sara, where are you when a disc needs you? ;D ) For many weeks, it was 2.99, and now it has come down to 1.99 -- two Pounds cheaper than MP3 downloads!!! I'm beginning to feel empathy for an inanimate object.  :'(

Navneeth, you're a gem!

I read this, and thought ... surely not? Clicked on the link. Gosh. Tasmin Little? Piers Lane? For £1.99? But hang on, I've never been much of a Delius fan, so even with these folks, and even at £1.99, do I really ... ? No, wait, let's not be silly and miss such an opportunity through sheer prejudice. Better play the samples.

So I did.

And then I paid up.

Thank you!

Hehe! Kind of you to think of me, Nav, but I already own this one. It is an excellent bargain. The performances are wonderful and the music offers a marked evolution in language with each piece, but still with Delius's intriguing blending of distinct movements into an arc. I'd encourage anyone with an interest to try them: those who find themselves lost in Delius's orchestral music may find something to hold onto in his chamber works.

The new erato

I guess so. Its been there for days and is clearly noted as a 7 disc set so i assume it is a valid price.

Worth a punt?

I have the series as individual issues.  It's definitely worth getting, although the AmazonUS price is a little steep :)
