Great.  This thread has become what it shouldn't have become, a thread about MP3 and download info.  Superbudget should mean cds

jut1972

By all means post some then.  I posted the mp3s not because I was going to buy them but because I thought others might benefit.
Is it really such a big deal?

Yes. ;) At least for those of us who have no use for MP3 deals, especially from Amazon.

I totally agree - would  prefer this to be about physical products only, which is why I started the mp3 bargain thread a couple years back. Guess it fell out of use.

How about starting a new thread with Super Duper and CDs in the title and we can use that one, leaving MP3s behind here?  Hope SACDs will be allowed tho'!

There were two threads already, but their posts were merged together (here) and the original deleted as it didn't see much activity. I don't understand why that happened, given that there are so many pointless threads, some with only a few views and no replies, floating around and taking up space. And if indeed a new thread is created and, importantly, allowed to stay, I'd suggest that that be the one for MP3s.

A bargain for 2,99, get it while you can.

The Lumieres box for just 19,99, a super bargain.

Be quick about it, prices can change overnight with JPC, found that out to my dismay the last few days.

Nothing at all wrong about posting mp3s on this thread. Why in the world would we make distinctions on a thread entitled...well, we know its title.

So keep 'em coming... :)

If I hadn't found Barshai's Shostakovich Symphonies for $8.99 on this thread, I would not be listening to any of Shostakovich's Symphonies.

Do you have anything against a thread titled "Download bargains" or some such thing? ::)

That definitely qualifies as Super-Duper!

Before you start trumpeting why don't you explain to us just why we need to make a distinction?

I totally oppose splitting this thread.  What is wrong with you guys who can't ignore the mp3 posts?  It would be far more inconvenient to have to look in two places for those folks who are not insulted by mp3 bargains.

:)

+1

I doubt I would have opened such a thread. I haven't before thought of downloads as something I'm interested in. This one happened to be just the right confluence of "Something I Really Wanted" and "Price I Can't Pass Up," but I wouldn't have gone looking for it in a "Download Bargains" thread.

Why is it so distressing to you to have downloads in this thread?

scarlattiglenross

Here's what is wrong with me. I get email updates when this thread is updated in an attempt to be quick on the draw when something really special turns up. Since I have no interest in mp3s, the more of those posted here, the more time I waste checking in for no reason.

Other members have complained about thread titles/content.  If a member has a problem with this subject, why not just start your own thread?  If you want a thread done your way, you're the only one who can insure the desired result.

As has been stated already, this has been tried once or twice already without success.

The problem, as I understand it, is that someone did start a separate thread for downloads and a moderator merged it with the original thread without consultation.

In that case, there are only three alternatives that come to mind:

1.  Become a moderator.
2.  Start your own board.
3.  Live with it.

I am only interested in 78 rpm bargains... and I will become righteously indignant at any hint of vinyl. Don't get me started on those awful CDs!

Oh... I almost forgot. Only Edison hill and dale recordings please.
