Don't know how familiar you are with LPs, but weren't his recordings originally released on Musical Heritage Society LPs?

What is especially interesting / significant about his performances? I confess I've seen the name on old LPs, but really know nothing about him. I'm always interested in picking up another WTC, if it's good.
