Baked? Smoked? Deep-fried? Was it yummy?

We were supposed to cook it first?  ???

Blow-torched?

No turkey this year. Since Vanessa's pregnancy, every meal was decided at the last minute with incredible unpredictability. Last night she suddenly wanted to have roasted chestnuts for dinner. I stood in the wind for 90 minutes at the most famous roast chestnut place in Beijing to get it for her. In the end I ate most of them.

But any minute now, she might want roasted turkey meat in the middle of the night. I am on full alert.

Truth be told, it was roasted, and very good.  I like deep-fried turkey as well.   ;D

The French horn bells will only accommodate Cornish game hens.

I had that unusual hybrid bird - a turduckhen.  It is a chicken stuffed inside of a duck stuffed inside of a turkey.  It was a good choice; it provides a nice variety, and the fatty duck helps to keep the meat from getting dry.  It was roasted like any ordinary turkey.

Tried brining our Turkey this year (soaking it overnight in salt water & spices).  Worked really well, although it makes the gravy a little salty
