Happy Thanksgiving everyone - hope you and your families have a great day.

We have so much to be thankful for - special thoughts go out to our troops and I hope that they we soon be back with their families. :)

Easily my favorite holiday of the year Mark, with Christmas Eve being second.  Family, food, and naps are the order of the day.

Used to be the case....but for the past couple of years the naps have been given more "turf", if you will.  ;)

Well it is not celebrated here in Holland, but from what I hear out of the States from friends and business relations, and from my girl in NY, this day is very important. Saw indeed a lot of films about this with different outcomes, but hey, have all a wonderful thanksgivingday, and leave some of the best pieces of the turkey for me..... ;D

The Netherlands played an important role in the Pilgrims' history Harry.  Is this fact commonly known in your country, or is it simply a footnote at your end?  Just curious.

It is not known Bill, not even a footnote. People are simply not aware of this part of their heritage and culture....

For me, football is usually a segue to a nap.  I'm generally not interested enough in football to watch the entire game.   ;)

Great idea Greg.  After all Mark, our family and some friends used to celebrate Boxing Day each year before they moved out of town.  I'm guessing we obviously had some gaps in doing it correctly, but man did we enjoy it.  :)

Yes we had a great Thanksgiving ,it was last month.We didn't watch football ,we watched rugby.
