As I heard the year described in St Petersburg: Nine months of winter and three months of waiting for summer.

Forgive me for being out of the loop, but I thought you lived in one of the Carolinas? Did you move?

I'm visiting my parents. But I'm flying back tomorrow. My ac has been off for two weeks. It will be hot when I get back!

Low 70s F (20s C) with a comfortable dew point of 54F (12C) here in San Diego about 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean, forecast to rise to 80 F (high 20s C) next week.  We don't get the over 100F temps typically until September, and it's no longer a dry heat, with increased moisture coming up from the South.

Which is not hot by our standards.

What is unusual is the relative lack of rain. None since Saturday, none predicted until the weekend at least.
Usually at this time of year we start to get strong afternoon thunderstorms rolling from the Everglades to the coast and then out over the water, on an almost daily basis.
So far this year those haven't really happened. Only significant rain was due to that low that hovered off the Carolina coast for a few days two or three weeks ago.
