It is bigger, safer, better and more beautiful now!

The production of SIEGFRIED created quite a stir!

The poster for Siegfried ...not everybody liked it...hmmmm

Beautiful looking hall!  And yes, that Siegfried poster is a bit provocative ;D but the other production photograph actually looks quite interesting.

what a stupid, tasteless poster. I hope the a*****e who thought of that gets what he deserves.

From the Opera's website :

Alberich's Ring has for years remained in the possession of Fafner, the giant who, in order to protect his wealth, takes on the form of a dragon. As he sleeps, he becomes richer and richer. The warriors of the Ring – Wotan, Alberich and now too Alberich's frustrated brother Mime – await a new campaign to finally take hold of the Ring.

Siegfried is the 'second day' and the third opera in Wagner's tetralogy, Der Ring des Nibelungen. Following the successful contemporary versions of Das Rheingold and Die Walküre, director Ivo van Hove and conductor Ivan Törzs now take the next step with Siegfried. Siegfried is the orphan of the miserable Wälsungenpaar, the twin born of Siegmund and Sieglinde. He is raised by Mime in an isolated world where reality is characterised by constant danger from beyond.
However, the fearless Siegfried has an insatiable appetite for discovery and to stamp his name on the world. And that appetite is all the stronger because he himself is unsure of who he really is. Is everything a game and if so what is it about? Power, money or love? For the isolated Siegfried, there is no distinction between reality and his computer games. In the latter, destroying your enemies brings you to a higher level. But if the power of the game should break out into reality, blood and destruction take on new meaning. An inexperienced, overly impulsive and wilful young man discovers the hard way what the world has in stall for him. The three older men watch his every move with the eyes of Argus. Which of them will exploit Siegfried's success to his own ends?

Anyway, for those who do not like their "Wagner -seen-through-the-eyes-of-Ivo- Van- Hove-",
there's Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro :

Most important: Congratulations to the new Opera House!

As to the new vision of The Ring: It remains to be seen. A photo here and there can be misleading or a testimony to something special. Of course there is always the music and as long as Ivo van Hove does not mess with it and the singers are really great, why not?  ;)
