Mozart

I remember this tune from cartoons. But I have no idea what it is.

Morigan

I know what tune you mean... Isn't it a theme for a TV show? Or a John Williams theme?

I can't remember!

Mozart

It kind of sounds like an italian folk song no? Maybe thats what it is.

12tone.

I thought it was a piece by Rossini at first, but maybe it's from Mozart?

Here it is, played on flutes

Got the name from that Youtube I posted: Funiculi Funicola.

That's the one  :D

Sorry, messed up the spelling.  It's: Funiculì, Funiculà

Listen to the piece here.

Awesome! How did you find it if you thought it was Mozart?

Morigan

Oh my God, how could I miss that! You're right!

I see where I got confused. It bears some resemblance to a certain little part of the Star Wars theme, actually (but it sounds gloomier in Star Wars).

12tone.

Funny story.  Remember that video game Earthworm Jim?  That game for the SNES used that song in that one level where those cats were coming out the window and you had to get them to bounce off that small trampoline you were carrying onto the ground safely.

So I looked up 'Earthworm Jim music' or something and got  this page.

See where it says "Italian Medley" (on left) beside "Puppy Love parts 1 through 3" (on right)?

Well I Youtubed 'Italian Medley' and came across those flutists.  Up in their description corner It ran some names, one being funiculi, Funicula.  I looked that up on Wikipedia and Youtubed Funiculi and got that guy singing.

Whew...

EDIT: apparently puppies were coming out the window, not cats...

Earthworm Jim! Ohh thats classic! I forgot about him.
