11 out of 800 Israeli Soldiers were chosen to be included in the special elite unit called YAMAM which is the anti-terrorist unit of Israel.

The course included 800 soldiers practicing for 7 month of which only 11 were hand picked to join the commando unit.

Note, how they are learning the lessons of the Moscow theater kidnapping. Some in Israel are beginning to compare the Yamam unit with the most secretive and powerful Israeli intelligence commando unit, the Sayeret Matkal. I personally think that they are not yet on the level of Sayaret Matkal, but nevertheless a stunning achievement.
