Actually, closing itunes doesn't work. It opens automatically anyway. However,  I think if I open Toast it will override itunes. Let's see...

Regardless of whether it's open in iTunes, can't you go to the desktop, open the CD and analyze the files?

I mean put the CD in your Mac, close iTunes (it probably runs automatically), open the CD icon and see what kind of files are there.

You are brilliant!!!

They are indeed AIFF and since I know they came form the original CD and weren't converted more than once, problem solved!!

Thanks a lot!!  :D

Yes, I just did. Thanks. I never noticed it because itunes always pops up before anything else.  :-\

Now, y'see George, if you weren't using a Mac, you'd be able to open Windows Explorer, navigate to the drive with the CD in it, roll over the files in question and get a simple confirmation like this:

My lastest question is:

How, on a MAC, can one use a CDImage.flac file and  a CD Image.flac.cue file to split the tracks so that each track can be accessed individually.

Can this be done using XACT? I can't figure it out.

???

Just Downloaded XLD, which did the job wonderfully.

Thanks for listening.   :)
