These are already here.  I sat through a presentation on Petrochemical Plant security and these are already in use.  The upside is that a) there is no projectile or chemical explosion around potentially explosive materials and B) the decision to "shoot" a suspicious person approaching the plant is much easier.

As does any human society! That's the part you don't get. You attribute enlightenment and oppressiveness to bloodline. There is nothing that prevents a Russian from being enlightened or an American from descending into brutal fascist madness.
