Thanks. Do you listen to / play 78s? I have 1000+ LPs, but only a handful of 78s. I have a Thorens 78rpm table with SME III arm somewhere amongst my stuff. I'd actually be interested in buying an acoustic / hand crank player (original in good condition or good reproduction) just for fun--nothing as large as a full-size Victrola, but something table-top size.  Can you offer any advice?

Can't help you, Val. I listen to tons of music from that era, but own no 78s. However I am interested in them and the people who collect them.

I have less than 10 78s, but no player, of course.

This documentary is amusing, about Joe Bussard, an obsessed man and his continuing search for old 78s of jazz, blues and country.
