Sorry if I missed the discussion (although I doubt that I can contribute much)

But what are you referring to when you say "Russian style" .. do you mean Russian composition or Russian performance or Russian melodies/music?

And can you explain hard-driven please?

Hard-driven: Maybe the conductor uses a whip instead of a baton. :)
