It's a Renaissance kitty playing a lute! I don't recall the artist's name, and a quick search was not fruitful.

Apparently this is his website.

Plenty of medieval/Renaissance cats, but also Soviet poster cats, a Sherlock Holmes cat, and some others.

I had no problem finding the image—couldn't find the artist.

The idea that Stockhausen actually had hits tickles me, all the more so a cassette tape containing such hits as Kurzwellen (The Beginning), Kontakte (The Middle Part), Song Of The Youths (The Last Part) .

The other albums in this 1970s series from DG are more convincing in terms of material although some of the artwork choices might be a little strange...

Possibly Berlioz would have appreciated the soft porn of the compilation on which appears his Ballet Of The Sylphs ;) .

A Fazioli F308 grand piano. My dream piano and partial namesake of my cat Fazi!

I wasn't familiar with that show before now (briefly googled...Wiki).  Looks like something that I might have fun watching.  :)

Re:  moi.  I am a fan of Sibelius (Now, don't look so shocked!).

Mine is a picture I took myself: a view of the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, with a rocky outcrop and flowering sparton bushes (Spartium junceum) in the foreground. It's the only avatar I've ever used on the forum.

Nice!

You could have monetised it with BIS...  ;) :

Good evening, Tassos!

I decided to change my avatar every year, according to which composer is celebrated. This is the year of Puccini. Next year, Johann Strauss II and in 2026 Weber.

That's all nice and thoughtful, but you can commemorate any composer you want in your signature.

Now Bring. Back. The. Flowers!

I was thinking of the van Gogh ones. I don't remember the other painting, which is also quite nice.

The Van Gogh was my very first avatar and I had it for a very long time. I had the Luchian one (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C8%98tefan_Luchian) two or three years ago, I think.

Okay, I'll revert to the Van Gogh.

I did a Google search by uploading your avatar image and the artist's name in question is Nathan Nun.

In fact, here's his website:

My avatar is pretty self-explanatory: Claude Debussy.
