THX and Xenakis?

I tried asking this before not knowing what made it...I knew it was part of movies and something that occurs before they start.  Or at least some did a long time ago.

In any case it's the THX sound test thingy which can be seen here.  The thing is, awhile back I heard this here from Xenakis.  They both start kind of the same and from first hearing 'Metastasis' I figured it was the very beginning of that work that THX used.  But after hearing the actual THX beginning, I thought maybe not.

They still share similarities so:  are they related or did THX just come up with it?  Or is this THX thing something that Xenakis did compose?

my guess is they're just not related at all. If it was, we probably would've read about it.
