I have bought tickets for his concert in Oslo in May, so I needed to hear his most recent CD:



IMO Nick Cave consistently has been on a very high level for many, many years. Quite unusual for a rock artist!

I've started buying copies of my favorite films to keep for posterity, with these two:



The transfer of this is gorgeous and they've (thankfully) changed the line "I need more life, f**ker" to "I need more life, father."



I will more than likely end up buying all the Bressons.  :)

Maybe a dumb question, but wouldn't it be better to wait for the inevitable high-definition re-releases of popular films like Blade Runner? The image quality curve is definitely pretty near the apex with HD DVDs, so it's unlikely that they would be as readily replacable by another format later on with as big a difference between it as DVD to Blu-Ray - IMO a good choice for a "reference" copy to own, and keep going back to over the years.
