I googled it. It's electronic pop. Not bad, what I heard.
Apparently my surmise was on target.  ;D

Comment removed for unseemly gloating.

You surmised the hell out of that one. ;)

"Not bad"? My dear MN Dave, it's simply the music most worth listening to, apart from Elgar  8)

What's that album all about then?

Listen to yourself!

Mrs Jynx is from Manchester and she makes fantastic electronic music.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Better those than electric sheep. Otherwise, we'd have to start making some inquiries into your humanity or lack thereof.

In any event, TD sounds like Giorgio Moroder whacked out on 'ludes. Nothing wrong with that, I suppose, but there it is.

Is it just me or is PSmith's avatar supersized?

What? Too much Hedonismbot for you? Confused? Maybe even a little disgusted?

Good.

It is, all levity aside, a bit on the large size, since the forum software didn't do its resizing thing and I'm too lazy to do it.

No, I actually think it's appropriate for the content.  ;D

Holy shite dude.....that's a hack of a haul.  That Hartman album brings back some great memories.  I discovered that album around the same time I met my wife and would play it for her all the time.  Lemme kbow what you think about that newport album.  I got it a while and have given it a few listens but I haven't completely connected with it.  Ellington and Trane....waz not to like.

Yes, I recall you rec. the Hartman cd Allan.  I believe Kevin rec. the Ellington.  I will spin the '63 tomorrow and report back.  The other two are both from '58.  Much different than his later work, but still very solid IMO.

Let me know about this one when you can buddy.

I listened to it today and I LOVE it! Gritty, cool sound and I like the mono mixes for the most part. I figured out today that there are 6 songs that are on the Singles Collection that are not on any other 2002 remaster by the Stones, plus 18 mixes that only appear on the Singles Collection. I burned all of these onto a CD and listened to it today on the way to and from work. Thanks for the recommendation.

Unfortunately, my copy is damaged (the jewel case didn't hold on 2 of the CDs), I went to the store, but the one I got is OOP (yes, I got the digipac one, they exist for this title  8)) I asked the Mgr to order another, but knew it was a lost cause. He told me that if they couldn't get me one, they would refund my money. I got ABKCO's number from another forum and called them today to explain the situation and try to get another case. They called back in a half an hour and told me they had one. I asked to pick it up at their office (not too far from my work) and they said OK. Within two hours I had a brand new copy with a perfect case (and the 3 CDs, too.) So now I can return my original defective one (cost me $65 with tax) and keep my replacement for free.  8)

WOW!  Glad that worked out.  Keep your eyes out for a decent used one for me buddy.  Any release for under $30 is fine. ;D
