As always, I couldn't help but read a few of the Amazon reviews while retreiving the product number: shine on you crazy diamonds :)

Non, although it's at the top of my pile. I was tempted to start it on the bus home, but I don't like the social dynamics of being seen reading thick books in public places.

Incidentally, one of the happiest milestones of my mental coming of age (after screwing up school and gradually piecing things together myself) was being able to remember who wrote War and Peace, and who wrote Crime and Punishment :P Not sure why the two blend together for me, they are quite different (the latter being more appealing to me atm).

Liekwise, I'll sooner re-read Crime and Punishment . . . though I will re-read War and Peace one of these days . . . .

I've collected almost all of Michel Petrucciani's recordings and I was missing this one which has recently been remastered and reissued:

Have you heard the Beastie Boys song that samples one of the songs from that Eagles album? I believe it's called High Plains Drifter, if you wish to check it out on the youtube.

Inspired by 71 dB's thread: Carly Simon:

the phone rings and somebody says,
"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."
