I don't see our respective taste in music as being diametrically opposed, but our approaches to music couldn't be more different.

Whereas you idolize Beethoven, I happen to deeply appreciate Schnittke.You  Brahms , me Pettersson.
Opposites.
Where we do connect is our interest in Nietzsche. That alone bridges all difference and makes us the best of friends.
