Two interesting suggestions, which I shall certainly investigate. Thank you  :)

Sean

Maybe get you a few lines tomorrow Ulysses man.

Don't worry too much Sean - PM me if you really want to discuss the topic further.

I didn't really want this introduction message to get too involved in a deep debate - there will be plenty of time for that in other threads, no doubt! I really just wanted to say hello and explain how much I have been enjoying my humble beginnings in classical music.

Cheers for all replies...

I like people who are thorough in what they do. It's been good meeting you.

Hi Daedalus, and welcome to GMG.  Very nice intro there!  Hope you enjoy yourself, and you'll find many more Mahler fans (like one right here  ;D).

Daidalos - the pleasure is all mine, I am sure  :D We obviously both have good taste in usernames!

Thanks for all other welcoming messages - this seems a very energetic and passionate forum and I look forward to getting to know some of you  8)

Greetings from Beethoven and Mozart's Vienna, Daedalus. Welcome to the forum. From all of your postings just in this topic alone, you look like you are quite at home here in GMG-Land. I hope you continue to enjoy your stay here.  8)
