Anne

I forgot I had it and therefore did not listen to it yet.  I read a biography of Furtwangler and wanted to compare it with this DVD which is why I have not listened to it yet.

Amazon gives it 5 stars.  That's good enough for me.  Does anyone remember the name of the recent Furtwangler biography?  If no one knows the title, I'll have to look for the book tomorrow.

How so?
Don't know, but looks a bit too "academic" for me for some reason. Not really into history I am afraid.

I see. Well, it's getting solid ratings at Amazon and in Gramophone.

And I just ordered it for my father-in-law's birthday. He's a WWII nut.
