I know a Supreme Court decision is final, but  Judges are human and are subject to mistakes.

If by chande  a bad decision is made (for want of a better word) can that decision be overturned and if so how?  It seems that Congress has oversight, the President can be impeached, but the US Supreme Court appears to do whatever it wants with impunity.

Are there any lawyers out there?  Thanks for jumping in. :)

A supreme court decision can be overridden by a subsequent supreme court decision.  If a supreme court decision interprets a law in a manner that Congress does not like, Congress can change the law.  If it interprets the Constitution in a way that the public does not like the Constitution can be amended.  A supreme court justice can be impeached (it has happened once, although the justice was not removed).
