To me, Schoenberg's Violin Concerto just sounds like sumptuously scored lush late (very late) romantic violin concerto, a rhapsody so caught up in its euphoria that it just crossed the line a wee tad into atonality. I'm counting on Hahn to really bring that aspect to the fore.
