In the Stock Market, Don't Buy and Sell. Just Hold.

I would put it differently such that one should Always Be Buying.

I'd be happier knowing a way of beating the market regularly, of course. I'd rather be a stellar performer, not an average one.

But, as it turns out, striving to be average is probably a wise choice. Just match the market returns; don't try to beat the market by buying and selling at moments that seem like great opportunities. You're likely to hurt yourself.

That's right. Don't beat the market, own it.

Interesting article.  Looking at the list, I can see how to cut back at least $29:  fix and bring in your own lunch, *breakfast (*or eat it at home--radical idea I know--depending upon ones work hours of course), coffee (beverages) and snacks.  And, yes, it would cost you a bit re food, but you would be doing that anyway if you were working from home.  I suspect that there are not that many companies (outside of Google) that provide three meals a day.

PD

If you're paying for doggie day care, that could add up.

I'd be willing to spend a lot more that $31 per day if I could work in an office.

I hadn't heard of them before now.  Are you thinking of giving it a test run and then maybe buying a set?

A common story in the modern Britain. For all the talk of climate disaster, the overriding concern is that nothing old should change.

Quote"We looked at rating data from [ratings website] BeerAdvocate and found that the majority of the top 10 beers for users who identified as female were sour beers versus high-ABV IPAs and stouts that rated highest for men," says Hankinson.

I've also seen this when I used to go out to the bar with friends.

I don't know Kona, but he(?) looks like he means business!

But, seriously, I do feel sorry for the constituents who voted for G.S. and had no one to look out for their interests and for those whom he allegedly stole from/swindled....the stories go on and on.

Yeah the cruelty is the point.

Siriusly , I think this job thing is way overblown. What about the Debt? Now that's something we really should be concerned about. How are we going to pay the government if they ask for it back? Any ideas?
