After 17 years of playing at golf, this morning I made a hole-in-one. 145 yd Par 3, 6 iron. I was amused.

Odds against:  12,000/1

Dude, you earned some amusement!

Awesome, just what we need.  And it apparently isn't directly attributable to increasing anti-vaccine stupidity.  What a shame that, as anti-vaccine bozos will undoubtedly attempt to use this as an argument against vaccination.

(I suppose this could actually be considered important, but I didn't want to start a new thread.)

Hey, I love breasts, but that doesn't mean the heavy hand of the nanny state should get involved in such a fashion.  Bloomberg is approaching a Michele Bachmann level of crazy.

Oh, he's got more work to lay in for that.

Well, last week he also suggested in a TV interview with Piers Morgan that police should go on strike until stricter gun laws are passed.

I actually used to think that he had done some good for NYC, and he did in his first couple of terms. But now, he has totally lost his mind. His working philosophy appears to be that if the City pays anything at all to deal with the effects of something (fat food, soda, smoking, guns, boobs etc) then it is within his purview to pass a law controlling how those items are distributed. I respectfully disagree.   $:)

I have done some reading up on this.  It is my view that he verges on being unAmerican and tacitly dictatorial.  Most unusual.   :(

Both true statements.  But then, I guess it's not too surprising.  The richest (or perhaps second richest, but who keeps track) New Yorker has the term limit law changed so he can remain mayor for four more years, and in his last term he shows his true colors.  He's done some good, no doubt about it, but now it is time for him to go.

Go! And never darken our towels again.

I well recall a long article about him in the UK press at the end of his first term, it all seemed so sane and reasonable then. But I guess pretty much getting your own way for a decade does the old corrupting thing.

I'm in favour of the nanny state, particularly if it is a naughty nanny  ;)

But seriously, people are idiots, and in most cases benefit from being told what to do.
