Golijov is on my Top Ten list of favorite composers - precisely because of the "eclectic/world music" stylistic elements.

He comes by these naturally, being a Sephardic Jew from Argentina his background includes South American as well as Jewish influences, e.g. klezmer.

Azul is a wonderful work, IMO, and I am pleased to see a new recording.

I much prefer the wonderful Clyne work, which has rightfully been gaining some currency in the contemporary music scene.

The only Golijov work I have encountered so far is the Clarinet Quintet The Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind and it's a hoot.
The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied. The terror IS REAL!
