I was a little bemused to learn the other day that 'time' is the most common noun in use. Checking my own writing, I found it did not appear that often so, as I was at a meeting on Sunday last, I listened carefully to everything that was said ( including informal conversations). In over an hour of speaking, I was astonished to find that the word 'time' was not even used once. Is this a record?
