Mantovani would kick Mendelssohn's ass. ;)

I am not believing that Manilow was omitted from the rolls . . . .

Ephemerid

I'm going for Anonymous.  He sure seems to get around a lot-- a lot more prolific than Felix or Fanny or Ludwig guy.

Mussorgorgsky (whatever his name is)

In honour of Teresa, I voted for Testosterone Power Orchestral Phallic Music only, please   :D

From the above options, Satie, fairly obviously.

(all joking aside, I love Satie)

And all joking aside, I think of the composers you offer, he is the one with the most of interest to say, even if he is, as has often been said, a bizarre case of a major composer who couldn't compose very well by many of the usual standards.

Satie-sfaction guaranteed.

Or, 'let us continue until Satie-ated', as John Cage (who ranked Satie above Beethoven, FWIW, though obviously his aesthetic criteria were different from those of most at GMG, so don't anyone get too riled)  ;D
