I recently enjoy listening to these two albums/boxes with northern songs. Can anyone recommend more records of Scandinavian (+ Finnish) songs?

This collection by the lovely Miah Persson is very nice:

If you're into Sibelius, this is quite indispensable:

And of course there's several more by Von Otter, these two being favourites:

Some very good recommendations there!

There is (though Danish and Swedish):
[asin]B0037OUH9K[/asin]
[asin]B00004NK2Q[/asin]

If you don't might a capella/choral, there are these:
[asin]B001GF5KHG[/asin]
[asin]B000007OAW[/asin]

Be kind to your fellow posters!!

I enjoy this Danish 20th century recital.

I am now working on a discography of the works of Vagn Holmboe. Please visit and also contribute!

I think I have only two, the Von Otter/Grieg/DG shown already above and Bonney's "Diamonds in the Snow":

These two song albums are fine as well, both on the Musicae Sveciae label.

Rangström was a specialist in composing songs, there are around 250 of them, and Stenhammar´s are fine as well.

And the album by Hynninen/Segerstam with Sibelius orchestrated songs on the Ondine label is hypnotizing, IMO.
