Hmm...snyps in a cage. Now I understand his antics.......

Veit Bach-a baker who found his greatest pleasure in a little cittern which he took with him even into the mill and played while the grinding was going on. In this way he had a chance to have the rhythm drilled into him. And this was the beginning of a musical inclination in his descendants. JS Bach

Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

This is true. I am not a fan of the piece and I knew. I had even seen someone post the LP cover I think. Not only is there a conspiracy, but now we know there must have been a cover up too! And there is now likely solid proof of aliens. A nice confluence of events I'd say! :)
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

Well, I guess it's no longer a pipe dream... so, when will we get it?

Sarge??

It's been mentioned several times on various threads. You really need to lay off the cotton candy.

Ok, what is the most brutally heavy performance of Le Sacre? (and the most celestial at the quieter moments, eg. Opening of The exulted sacrifice )

:)

Gergiev's Le sacre will knock your block off.

arpeggio

In the fall of 2014 I attended a concert of the Marine Band where they performed a transcription of The Rite.  The conductor was Giancarlo Guerrero.  It knocked my socks off.  Link to a YouTube of that performance:

I have ordered this one and look forward to it!

BTW, some of us have had our blocks knocked around by Le Sacre for so many years that it has developed a high level of resistance. It takes something extraordinary to knock it out of it socket.  :P
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.
