Mozart's Requiem and the JC Bach precursor

I've had a quick search on the net without success to remind me of which JC Bach choral work it was that can be heard so clearly in the Mozart Requiem (I think it was JC!). Was it the Gloria, or a setting of the Requiem (I think there's more than one)- thanks.
