AGP99 features the work of Iannis Xenakis, a Greek composer who needs no introduction for votaries of the 20th century avant garde. The vast majority of the works by Xenakis in my stacks are available on CD, but I was able to find three that are not. Incidentally, this installment comes to you thanks to a request by an AGP partisan for a transcription of Polla Ta Dhina.

CALLING ALL AGP PARTISANS: EMF Media released a CD of Xenakis' electronic music in 2000 that is now out of print and currently unavailable even in used copies. I have some of those works on LP but would love to include a transcription of the CD as a future AGP installment if I can get a transcription to FLAC files. If you have the CD, I can walk you through the relatively simple process of getting those files to me.

Also, I had meant to put out a call last week for a transcription of the 2CD set of Alois Kontarsky's 1960s recording of Stockhausen's Klavierstuck I-XI, released on Sony but now out of print. The Klavierstuck are available in other recordings, but Kontarsky's was the first complete recording of I-XI, done in close collaboration with the composer. Please let me know if you have a copy and can transcribe it for the project.
