Didn't Karl Engel do a complete set once upon a time?

I thought he recorded a complete Brahms on DG.
Don't know about Schumann.

I've just never been enticed by complete works boxsets. It's not a question of performance quality, but one of "overload" for my delicate constitution.

I somewhat feel the same way you do Don.  I am well aware of the anxiety of having to go through 100+ CDs  :o!!  But then again if the performances are very good as I have heard they are in the Mozart Complete Works Boxset  (Brilliant), it might just prove to be a worthwhile investment after all  :).
