Since I started with Wagner, I found out that my liking for it lies with recordings mainly from the fifties.
So, if someone has recordings from that time, and is willing to part with them, I could offer some things in return.
Varg kindly send me some stuff, for which I am grateful, and is a good beginning to the Wagner journey I am undertaking.
So kind souls from GMG, can you, and would you like to help me in this?
Since I started with Wagner, Mozart, Verdi, Rossini, Puccini have become major interests too, can you imagine?
Will try Don Carlos from Verdi pretty soon.

Harry, as you are soaring on your Wagner and Opera journey, I have visions of you changing your avatar to a Flying Dutchman!  :D

I understand that completely, but I could never change my avatar. The times that I did, made me feel bad about dismissing Tchaikovsky, so after only short intermissions T will be the man for me, and you know, he wrote operas too............ ;D
