MMA fighters use them.

Which would lead me to believe that they are associated with reduced intelligence.

Bought this from GNC...... just one has tons of different vitamins, some being 1400% daily value.

Vitamins are known to be toxic if taken in large quantities.

So I've tried it yesterday and do notice that I've felt more awake,

That could be a placebo effect. Within a few weeks you'll probably go back to feeling your old self again.

Just eat right and you'll get all the nutrition you need.
"I don't know what sforzando means, though it clearly means something."

Possibly...... today I feel the same, took forever to wake up. Mainly any lack of energy I have is psychological reasons (lack of feeling like doing stuff) instead of biological...... just wanted to try it. Most likely I won't be buying another one....

The pill tastes like, literally, a whole plate of greens condensed into one (pretty big) pill. It actually tastes toxic!  ;D

I take none whatsoever.  You don't need any of them provided one's diet is OK.  As posted by "head-case", there was a recent health report in the UK saying they can cause premaure death, unless they have been prescribed.  Too much vitamin C rots your stomach.

There was a TV interview on the day of the report with a store phamacist from a branch of "Boots", the UK''s biggest pharmacy retalier.  I expected this person to try to defend peoples' rights to buy whatever self-medications they want, as this sort of stuff is a big profit line.  But she didn't.  She agreed that it's pretty daft what many customers do, as they don't generally ask for advice.  She agreed that mostly these multi-vitamins and such-like health supplements were unnecessary, and that there should be much more regulation of self-medications.  Basically, the advice was keep off them unless they're prescribed.  This same advice was confirmed by a consultant dietician.

Interesting subject.

I don't think two bodies are alike. My calorie intake is probably between 1000-1200 calories a day, that's how its been for years now. Although my family tells me to stuff it up a bit  :D every doctor that I have seen told me to not listen to anyone about my weight, and that as long as I have a balanced nutrition, being skinny is not a medical concern at all. All my vitals are fine (except for a slight iron deficiency).

Take more Spirulina.  8)

I take a great many vitamins. Not for physical health, but for mental health. They work nicely.  :)
